to tell you the truth, i have been spending more time reading art history books and watching world war two docs (yes, i’m a war junkie/history buff..who knew??) than obsessing about current affairs like i used to.
this leap in focus is in part to blame by disappointment. feeling slightly dumped. like a prom date left at the loser table watching my date dance with the skanky cheerleaders. my date being the prezzie himself and the cheerleaders being a dying economic system of ceo sleazies and chubby bankers in suspenders and greased up hair plugs.
oh look, now he’s preforming mouth to mouth. this date is o.v.e.r.
i’m curious to see if we are really so conditioned that we will buy into the resesatation (and for how long) of this unsustainable system just to spare ourselves the breakdown of one lifestyle to another.
the low cost fuel party is winding down and we are all about to be hit with a major hangover. the kind of hang over where you have to work the next day. and it’s a busy work day.
the following i can say with confidence; we are going to have to come up with a different way of getting food, getting to and from, buying stuff, and living within means. we are going to know re-localization like the back of our hands.
i’m twenty four years old. i am confident that by the time i’m facing my forties i will not know the lifestyle that my parents knew. at least i hope not. because that illusion should not go on.
(ps. thanks for breaking from the norm and hearing my thoughts on our nation’s breakdown. please do your part to educate yourself and form an opinion!)

Oooooh, do I hear you. But I kind of feel bad for the guy. Everyone…well nearly everyone, on all sides viewed him nothing short than the second coming of christ, and of course you can’t please everyone, and I’m sure he knows that..and so he goes into offices with a million anticipatory smiles and are slowly beginning to waver because we are a nation of instant gratification, and unfortunately he can’t do it all.
But I totally feel you. Why deal with that problem before anything else?
Oooooh I am SO excited about this weekend. I’m bringing my camera..oh, do you know if there are like…wall plug things in the camper? I’m not sure how that would work, but just out of curiosity…
See you soon, lady! Like, Saturday! Oh jolly me, I’m nearly dancing with anticipation. Woohoo!! =D
