I’m Britt Hermann, I am a half-cup tea drinker, mess maker, happy and lucky, silly girl. My hubby and I are pessimistic optimists, artists, parents and friends.
Even I don’t know what this blog is about, it has a life of its own. Please involve yourself and speak up, it keeps me going.

“We have no illusions that our year will have any impact globally, but personally it may be our salvation.”
music to my ears.

I’ve been thinking about what you say about personal salvation vs. global impact. Ironically, most of Christendom seems to have this view backward, in that they profess not pursuit of salvation, but an agenda of global impact, or to change the world. Most will speak of salvation as a forgone conclusion. Perhaps its because they already perceive themselves as saved, in more respects than just spiritually, or at least don’t realize all that we are slaves to. I have a hard time believing the world can be changed by individuals, let alone saved, as we believe it can be, without our own salvation first from idols like those you’ve mentioned as well as an immediate focus of loving locally. Changing our small world around us is what will change the big world beyond us.

Hi, I came across your blog via Kelly Rae Roberts’. I realised the other week that I’m not very good at speaking of my gratitude, which I should really do something about. So, thank you for your blog

Nothing peeves me more then picking up 1/2 drank cups of tea/coffee around the house that my wife swears “ill finish it later”.
